SPRINGFIELD, MO – Tim Rosenbury, AIA with Butler, Rosenbury & Partners (BR&P) has been selected to receive the 2011 AIA Missouri Distinguished Service Award based on his strong record of leadership in community affairs, state affairs, political action, community organizations, and the American Institute of Architects.

This prestigious award is bestowed to one architect per year in Missouri, and only a handful of architects from Springfield have previously received. Tim will be presented with this award at AIA Missouri’s Annual Meeting on March 27th in Jefferson City.

Tim is recognized with this award for his abundant contributions to his profession and the community. A condensed list of his accolades include being the 2010 Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board, serving as an adjunct instructor at the Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University since 1986, serving on numerous boards and committees advocating for the community, mentoring young architecture professionals, and his involvement in the AIA both locally and at the state level.

This award also recognizes Tim’s personal professional achievement.  He has been a practicing architect for 28 years and is a graduate of Mississippi State University. The past 25 years he has spent serving as a lead principal at BR&P. The majority of Tim’s project leadership is for civic and community clients including K-12 and higher education, worship, historic preservation, adaptive re-use, and community organizations. His notable projects include the Gillioz Theater, Boone County Courthouse, Plaster Student Union at Missouri State University, the Watershed Center of the Ozarks, First & Calvary Presbyterian Church, Fulton City Hall, and Park Central Square.

BR&P specializes in architecture, structural engineering, planning and project management locally, regionally and nationally. The company has been in business since 1978 in Springfield.
