Dear Springfield AIA members, Please join us at the HSA for the second lecture in this year’s series, dedicated to the theme of RELEVANCE.

Rafi Segal is an award-winning architect based in Cambridge, MA. Throughout his career, he has worked to address the connection between architecture and urbanism, considering the scale and outside interferences that shape individual and community needs in the urban context and its peripheries. His practice concentrates on public buildings as places of collective engagement and interconnection: museums, public centers, housing, and civic institutions. He has published and exhibited widely, engaging themes related to various scales of communal life. Segal’s noted projects include the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the National Library of Israel, and Villa 003. He currently holds a position as an Associate Professor of Architecture and Urbanism at MIT. Rafi Segal will lecture in the HSA Auditorium on Monday, October 28th, 2019 at 3:00pm.
